CP Celebrates Moms

It is that time of year again where we take a moment to reflect on how wonderful mothers are and what it takes to be a mom. Captured Photography just finished up their Mommy n Me sessions this April to celebrate moms. All too often moms are the ones taking the pictures of the kids and trying to get them to cooperate for just one good picture. Mommy n Me sessions allowed moms to not just have pictures of them with their kids, but to be pampered, have their make-up done and enjoy being with their kids. Mommy n Me sessions finished up just in time to make the perfect Mother’s Day gift, art for her wall, yes that canvas is what all moms are looking for.

Our first Mommy n Me sessions were a huge success, nearly all of the slots were filled within hours the morning after the announcement. After adding a second date it was filled nearly immediately as well. Unfortunately we weren’t able to add any more sessions and have prints available in time for Mother’s day. What we did find is that Mom’s loved having art created of them and their kids and it will be a yearly tradition to celebrate being a mother. Hint…hint…for next year dads…

This is only the beginning of our regularly scheduled minis. Future minis will celebrate families, kids, dads, couples, and of course moms again. Stay tuned to our blog, Facebook page or our e-mail news letters to hear more about upcoming mini sessions that will be available. Much like our Mommy n Me sessions we expect spots to go quickly.

Another way that we wanted to celebrate mothers is through this quick video on the heart behind Mommy n Me sessions, mixed with a little humor from kids talking about their moms. So mothers, and everyone else, take a minute to hear why mother’s are so important, and remember to tell your mother how amazing she is.

…. is what I hear in my head when I think of our very own Rachel Evans…. she truly has a passion and a zeal to change the world… she has a passion in her heart and she is on a mission. It is inspiring and we are sooooo very proud to watch as she moves into her next endeavor with accomplishing her dreams to set her world ablaze!

Rachel has always had a passion for missions… much of her Forever Free Art is from pictures she took while visiting Friendship Village in Thailand and also Ireland. In January, Rachel attended the Passion Conference where music artists, authors, and speakers gathered in Atlanta to address and promote awareness of the very real and present Sex Trafficking and Slavery that exists here in the US and abroad. The dreams God has planted in Rachel’s heart to make a difference using Art… was fueled and given purpose as she listened and cried hearing their stories. It is with this passion she was given a new resolve to make the necessary steps to make “Forever Free” official. Pathway in Midland has been gracious enough to allow her to sell her beautiful works of art there. Proceeds from the sale of her art will go to the International Justice Mission www.ijm.org

My beautiful and dear friend Sarah has another New and very uplifting CD out! Sarah is the epitome of James 1:2-4, “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” She truly inspires me daily… and it was such a honor and a privilege when she asked me to shoot her Album Cover…. I am truly blessed to get to work with such an amazing woman and I pray that God continues to use her to accomplish His plans and Purposes and that you too will see the JOY in every situation.
