well….. so…. i am not sure if anyone else is excited about School being just around the corner… (at least not in my house)… but miss cutie pants Viv, sure is excited to be heading to Kindergarten!
Viv is one of the cutest, spunkiest, talkative, confident, and smart five year olds I know… she had Rachel and I cracking up!
Viv- “Have you ever had Hamburger Helper?”
Me-”i have”
Viv- “YOU HAVE?! Isn’t is delicious?!”
Or how about this conversation…
Rachel- “So Viv, what do you want to be when you grow up?”
Viv – “A singer. Well, actually I already am.” as she jams out on her guitar -er tennis racquet…. too cute!!!
it was a joy to capture Viv’s personality again this year enjoy your sneak peek Jenn!
Sweet Talia… it is hard to believe that the smiling, sleeping newborn I have hanging on the wall in my office…is already ONE!! Time surely flies! She is just as happy as she was then… just delightful!

I LOVE big families, i come from a big family, my husband has a big family, and for today’s standards we have a big family. There is never a dull moment in a big family… everything is big… the fun, the chaos, the noise, the drama, and best of all the LOVE. So, perhaps that is why this family makes me smile so much. I thought I would honor big families by sharing what I have learned from Big Families:
first, mom and dad’s relationship is at the core of a strong big family… i LOVE how obvious it is that Mindy and Erich adore one another…
Children are incredibly unique. There is no cookie-cutter for kids… which can be both fun and challenging
What is the saying, “united we stand, divided we fall”…. you may not always get along, sometimes you may not even always like each other but family always stands together. In big families, you learn early on the importance of team work and learning to depend on each other. Mom and Dad can’t do it all so the responsibilities are shared…. this was hard for me and still is hard… guess I am a bit independent and I don’t like asking for help… but slowly I am letting go of some of the smaller daily chores in our home and recognizing the benefits to letting our kids be a part of what it takes to run a successful family… so far, so good… but we don’t have teenagers yet
Never take yourself too seriously…
And always learn to go with the flow I knew the kids may have been finished by this picture
We loved capturing your family, Mindy and Erich! Enjoy your preview!

at Chippewa Nature Center, the opportunities to explore are endless…. people rave about the pre-school and summer camps (we need to check it out!) and i LOVE capturing families out there enjoying each other and the beauty of the outdoors…
